Modern Slavery Statement for the Financial Year ended September 30, 2023

This statement is made pursuant to Bill S-211, An Act to enact the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act. This statement outlines the approach and initiatives by AXYZ International Inc. to identify and address the risks Forced Labour and Child Labour in its business operations and supply chains during the financial year commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2023.

AXYZ CNC Routers was established in 1991 by partners Alf Zeuner and Gary Harvey. In 1995, Richard Ward founded WARDjet in Ohio, USA focusing on modular waterjets that could be tailored to customers’ specific needs. The Hansen-MacDonald family became the new majority owners of AXYZ and WARDjet in 2017 and 2018 respectively with the parent organization being AXYZ International Inc.

Supply Chain

Currently AXYZ International Inc. operates worldwide with locations in Canada, U.S., U.K. and Poland.

  • Production takes place in both Canada and U.S. with service occurring worldwide.
  • A vast majority of material purchases occur in Canada and U.S. with minimal purchases outside these two locations.

Actions to be Taken

  • On boarding of new employees will include our Policy associated with Bill S-211
  • Statement of Commitment is being included in our Employee Handbook
  • Regular training and refresher on compliance related to Bill S-211 (via HRDownloads or another platform).
  • Supplier T&C’s will include a requirement to comply with Bill S-211.

Risk Assessment

Risk is deemed to be very low for having any slavery or human trafficking in its business.

Based on my knowledge, and having exercised reasonable diligence, I attest that the information in the report is true, accurate and complete in all material respects for the purposes of the Act, for the reporting year listed above.
